The SOM Office for Medical Education ensures that the educational program of the School of Medicine adheres to the standards for accreditation established by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). It works in conjunction with school and institution leadership to provide the necessary reports to the LCME to maintain accreditation.
The education program of the School of Medicine was reaccredited for an eight-year term by the LCME after its site visit in February 2012. The next site visit will be in February 2020.
